The Birthday Girl

I have a lot of catching up to do! But we have been gone for 3 1/2 weeks, so that's a good excuse....right? My next few posts will be a little bit out of order because I don't want to put Hailey's birthday off any longer :)
Miss Hailey turned 7 years old on July 14! She is one amazing little girl. I know I'm extremely bias but she really is! It is a joy to watch her grow and develop into such a beautiful young lady.
One of the things I admire most about Hailey is her ability to give and receive love. As far as love languages go she is fluent in all of them. She is always hugging each of us, telling us she loves us, and she writes little love notes and does sweet little things to show her love.
Hailey loves the gospel and really tries to do what is right. I'm impressed with the importance she places on modesty and she likes to keep Grace in check too(maybe because we are always at the pool or the beach and she sees a lot of immodesty).
Hailey is a great big sister. I expected a lot of friction between Hailey and Grace this summer but I have been pleasantly surprised at how much they have loved being together. They spend hours each day in their room together with every toy they own on the floor. I don't know how they can find anything or even walk around but they are in heaven!
She makes friends easily and is a natural leader. In almost any situation Hailey can take charge and call the shots. I've even seen her do this with teenagers!
Hailey does extremely well in school, she has a lot of drive. Half way through the school year her grade started doing accelerated reading like all the older grades. Hailey's teacher put up a chart in class that showed everyone's points. Of course Hailey had to have the most. She read like crazy! Her teacher sent her to the library everyday to check out new books. Out of about 125 kids Hailey was in the top five for having the most AR points.
We love you so much Hailey Girl!

Daddy is the birthday cake baker at our house. Hailey wanted an oreo cake, and boy did he deliver! He even put cookies and cream ice cream in the center! It was very impressive!

3 want to talk about it:
